The Mac Sucks!

With all the media attention on Apple these days, it’s an interesting change of pace to see someone pointing out 10 Apple Flops as Forbes has done recently. For those of you who don’t want to click on the link to go see them in person, here’s a recap:

1. The Lisa (I actually owned one of these long after they’d flopped.)
2. Macintosh Portable
3. Taligent
4. The Newton (I owned one of these, too.)
5. The QuickTake
6. Macintosh TV
7. The Pippin
8. The Rokr
9. The Power Mac G4 Cube
10. Apple TV

While I agree that this is a pretty accurate list, Taligent and the Rokr aren’t Apple-only failures. Part of the blame for the Rokr’s failure must fall on Motorola, and Taligent involved multiple companies who all share a part of the problem for its failure.
